2014 July 6 "In the Studio " and New "Plein Air" class

In the studio last week visiting from Laredo, Emily and her younger sister Joyce . They had 2 classes and wanted to spend more time painting here.They hope to come again next summer.
Cat on a rock wall on my way home today. Everything is very green due to all the rain we've had.
"Morning on Salida a Queretero" oil ; 12 x 9" palette knife.  I've been working with a more textural approach lately using thick paint over a thin dark tonal background.Really enjoying this process. I have one more almost ready which I will post when finished.       +Plein air up and coming, next week ...we hope to get some painting outdoors next week Tues. July 15th...location to be announced. We'll start by meeting at the gallery at 9:am weather permitting. classes in the studio continuing WED.- wc.'s Thurs. oils and acrylics (beginners to intermediate)
and for more experienced or advanced -Friday mornings. 10 til 1pm

    I love your works, Donna! Each piece seems like they would pop out and start moving any time now. Anyway, how was your move? If you already have created many pieces, it’s really best for you to move in to a larger gallery. Thanks for sharing, and good luck!
